My Son, My Savior
Join us for two events involving the new WELS Movie, “My Son, My Savior.” A family movie night will be held Sunday, November 15th, at 5 p.m. at church. We will begin with some fellowship time and supper followed by the viewing of the 45-minute film, “My Son, My Savior. Additionally, we will have an Event on December 6th at 5 p.m., called Advent By Candlelight, and the program for this event will be based on the film. Please join us for both events!
The movie is about the coming, life and ministry of Jesus told from the perspective of his mother Mary. This movie is produced by the same writing team and director who brought you Road to Emmaus and Come Follow Me.
Only one woman had the unique privilege to call Jesus her son. Mary was blessed to be the mother of the Savior given by God to rescue the world from sin and death. The movie will portray Mary experiencing and pondering the miracle of Jesus’ coming and humbly growing in her understanding that her son is also her Savior. The main message for all viewers is that Jesus is their Savior too.
The movie will be about 45 minutes. Since there will be scenes of the angel’s announcements to Mary and to Joseph about the birth of Jesus, the nativity, shepherds, Simeon & Anna—this movie will be very appropriate for use at Christmas.
